Rafael                                      Evra

Man Utd vs Fulham

Some Interesting Facts..............

Head-to-head
  • Manchester United have won their last nine league and cup games against Fulham at Old Trafford, scoring 23 goals.
  • Fulham have avoided defeat at United only once in 49 years - a 3-1 Premier League victory in October 2003, when Lee Clark, Steed Malbranque and Junichi Inamoto scored for the visitors.
  • They have conceded 16 goals on their last six league trips to Old Trafford, and failed to score in the last five of those.
Manchester United
  • United's 1-0 defeat by Everton on Monday night marked only the fourth time that they have lost their opening Premier League match of the season - and the first since 2004.
  • They have gone on to win the league title in two of the three previous seasons in which they lost their opening game: 1992-93 and 1995-96.
  • Sir Alex Ferguson's side are unbeaten in the league at Old Trafford in 2012, winning eight of their nine fixtures at home and keeping seven clean sheets.
  • They have only conceded seven goals in their last 12 league matches - five of them against Everton.
Fulham
  • Fulham are vying to start a top-flight season with back-to-back wins for the first time in the club's history.
  • They had the fourth worst away record in the Premier League last season, earning only four wins and 17 points from 19 matches. However, three of those wins came in their last seven attempts.
  • Fulham were the only side in the top flight last season not to have a player sent off.

Buttner Deal Done !!!

                        It is official..........
Alexander Buttner has completed his move from Vitesse Arnhem to Man Utd.

"Alexander is one of the best young left backs in Europe and we're delighted to sign him. He's someone we've been watching for a while now. He gives us some really exciting options in that position. He's someone we've been watching for a while now. He gives us some really exciting options in that position."
" Sir Alex said Man Utd's official site.

Alexander Buttner "Joining Man Utd is one of the best days of my life. It's a team I have admired for many years now and I can't wait to join my team-mates and play my part in helping the club be successful."

A Bad Start of 2012-2013 Season.........

                              MAN UTD 0-1 EVERTON

Man Utd lost their EPL season opener away at Goodison Park. The star of the match was Everton's Fellaini. He used his height and strength amazingly, which was too much for the United midfield. Fellaini scored the winner early in the second half, at 57 minutes,  from a corner which was taken by ex- Man Utd midfielder Darron Gibson.  United came close to scoring many times, but were in a sense unlucky. Man Utd started with RVP on the bench and Carrick in the central defence. Everton's back four especially Baines and Jagielka played very well resisting the continual Man Utd attack in last quarter of the match. Even the introductions of RVP, Anderson, and Ashley Young did not influence the match in any manner. Nani (3') and Scholes (13') were yellow carded during the match.
The positive side of the game is the performance of De Gea and Kagawa. If De Gea was not playing we might have conceded 5 or more goals.  The accuracy of Kagawa passes is also a highlight. Once the new recruits create an understanding together we will be definitely a team to watch out for.......
Currently we are 16th in the table with Fulham on the top.

Glory Glory MAN UTD..............................

Great Transfer Window For Us!!!

Major Inclusions:

1. Robin Van Persie

Last year, RVP was the top scorer of the EPL. Former Arsenal captain is a very good striker and would make our strike force one of the best in Europe right now. He is an injury prone footballer, so luck has to be with Man Utd this year so that RVP would be able to continue the same goal-scoring form that he possessed  when he was in Arsenal. He is 29 now, so there won't be any resale value for the player. But thinking in the short term perspective, he is indeed a very good signing...

2. Shinji Kagawa

According to me, this is the signing of the summer..... signed from Borussia Dortmund, this Japaneese midfielder is one of the best attacking midfielders in the business right now. He is just 23. Good on both feet, good passing abilities, and a goal scoring threat. Provides himself in good goalscoring positions...., I am expecting him to score more than 15 goals for us this season.

3. Nick Powell

A young talent signed from Crewe Alexandra. Just 18. But have contributed a lot to Crewe last season. A very good attack minded midfielder. Very confident on the ball. But still a lot of fine tuning to be done. Not expected to  feature in the EPL this season but a good recruit........

Major Exclusions:

1. Park Ji Sung

2. Michael Owen

3. Paul Pogba

4. Mathew James

5. Richie De Laet

There are few more positions that need to be strengthened especially left back ..... Rumours are that we are close to signing Alexander Buttner from Vitesse Arnhem. Hopefully the deal goes through..........

Man United To Start Their EPL campaign tonight....

Man Utd will kickstart their campaign tonight in an objective to recapture the EPL title that Man City snatched from their grasp on the final day of the last season. The match is live on ESPN @ 00:30 IST. The first game is an away game at Goodison Park against stubborn Everton who are very reluctant to give away points especially at home. I hope it will be a mouth watering contest and that United will come up on top after the final whistle.......... Having brought in Naismith, the Everton side are not so shot of firepower.  But still I very much think that the red flag will fly high after the full 90 minutes........(crossed fingers)
Glory Glory Man Utd...................

We Knocked Out Man City.................

What a first half performance................. Oh fantastic game............we won 3-2...............

Also Paul Scholes came out of retirement for covering injured players.................

Man City were on the top in the earlier minutes............but the dominance was all turned around by Rooney magic..........A wonderful move created and finished off by Rooney.......Great header...... @ 10 mins

Then was the moment of the game..............Vincent Company sent off for attempting a two footed boot showing tackle at Nani.............
We got goal advantage and man advantage.............

Then we dictated the pace of the game............and near the 30 minute mark..........we doubled our lead through a very good goal from Welbeck..............
And later in the half we earned a penalty which was taken by Mr. Rooney..............
The goalkeeper saved his first attempt but luckily the rebound came right back into the danger area which was easily headed goalwards by Rooney.............3-0..............

Mancini changed two players and also the tactics............which was instantly effective........... Man City won a freekick which was taken by Kolarov who gave no chance for Lindegaard....3-1...........
Then SAF turned to his old maestro Paul Scholes .............. who looked okay...........

But then a mistake from Scholes lead to a unwanted cross from the right side by Milner which created a scrappy goal from Aguero...........3-2...........

Now the game was on.......but we showed our patience till the end and resisted all City attacks and we edged City to the 4th round of FA Cup

We Lost Again............

Another loss.................. This time more vulnerable.................3-0..............to Newcastle..........

I dont know what to tell you guys because the form of our team is consistently inconsistent.

Even then SAF is kind of unbothered about it and still keeping his faith in the team. I am not saying that it is a bad thing to do.............but to improve the quality of the team and to cover for injured players, we urgently need to sign a few players...........the longer he hesitates to bring in players the disastrous it would be.........

Hope he brings in new players..................

Extraordinary Sunderland...........................

                Hohoho...............what a match!!!!!!!!!.............wow amazing

All the possession and pressing from Man City................ Sunderland defended for their lives.......... throwing their bodies all around the pitch......... and then came the best part of the game ............ a last minute goal from Sunderland.............. clinching the victory.......

A very last minute goal undoing all the hard work done by City...........hint of offside but the goal stands...........

I am still not out of the shock.............Hohoho

Yeah............We Lost.....................2-3............

Usually I wont enjoy our losses............But I feel that this loss will be good for us in the long run.... because it will tempt SAF into making some transfer actions during January which will surely be good for the team...............
Even if Man City wins, they will only be 3 points higher........which will be very much catchable........
Congrats to Blackburn and under fire Steve Kean......Job secured for the moment...............
